p.storage for Max 5
just as I thought that I’d got p.storage out of the way, a whole bunch of things came to my attention that needed changing. I think I’ve sorted these out and present you with something a lot closer to being complete (at least for the near future, i hope).
there are also a couple of additional features that i added whilst i’ve had my head imerged in pattrstorage.
the 5.01 download is now available lower down the page.
what you get in p.storage (and why not call it version 5.0?):
• store, replace, insert, delete, copy, and move presets;
• change the locked status of presets;
• change the active settings for pattrs;
• edit preset names;
• edit aliases;
• search and locate pattrs using aliases or pathnames;
• search for presets;
• manage subscription lists;
• oh, and three groovy interface options!
p.storage5.01 has the following fixes/additions:
• renamed ‘unsubscribe’ button to ‘remove invisible’;
• changed ‘print selected’ to ‘current values’ - which now opens a coll containing a dump output with all client paths and current values;
• changed position of active all and subscription list buttons to highlight subscribemode actions;
• fixed greedy button to show correct state on init;
• prevented preset jumping to different setting when using the messages menu;
• fixed lockall message that was misbehaving;
• fixed ‘locked’ button to report 0 lockedslots when there are none;
• changed behaviour to be more like that of pattrstorage. slot 0, called presets, is now a slot where temporary presets can be stored (but not saved);
• added a ’store slot presets’ menu item to store data at slot 0;
• slot 0 (’presets’) is recalled when you read (or read again) a file;
as always, I’d appreciate feedback. comments suggestions bugs etc. or even nice to know if anyone really uses p.storage…
