I fail to see what benefit some spammers get from sending hundreds and hundreds of comments, with each comment containing hundreds of links to …. wherever. anyway, i just got hit by a stream of comments arriving to one of my posts. I only knew because my mail box was getting refilled almost as soon as I cleared it. deleting the comments wasn’t doing much good so I shut done the comments for the post. that stopped it! however, at the same time, caught up in my haste and frustration, i also deleted all the other comments that people have left on the site. so apologies to all of you that left comments, they haven’t been removed for any other reason.
