i have to admit that until a few years ago i didn’t really have much of an idea about the demoscene. Then I did some work with toxi and he told me he’d been away to Scandanavia for a demo party and showed me some photos of huge spaces filled with people and their machines projecting demos. Well, I’m not much better clued up on the demoscene today to be honest but toxi has selected some videos of demos for his blog which illustrate some of the incredible skills of people coding quite detailed programmes in only 4k files. Yes, 4K. That’s about a tenth of the size of a small audio sample of a snare these days and half the size of the simplest Jitter patch I could find on my hard disk (jit.hello.maxhelp).
