p.storage is an abstraction/interface for max. it facilitates communication with the pattrstorage object and offers a variety of ways to manage your presets and settings.
please note that the latest version (5.02) of p.storage is here:

well, I started to update p.storage for max 5 a couple of weeks ago and its just about finished now. despite the improvements to max (or perhaps because of them?) it took longer than I thought it would, but I think the result was worth the effort. i was going to wait until the next update for max was announced before releasing p.storage because there are currently a few bugs with pattrstorage, however, its mostly functional anyway, so i thought I’d put it up here in the hope that some of you maxers might like to see it.
new version… new features. and there’s plenty of them. in fact, i suspect a huge amount of effort has gone into this upgrade that we don’t even see, what with it now being platform independent and all. pity that hadn’t happened when the programme was opened up to windows, i suppose. but that’s the past, let’s look to the future.
the big D day arrived and … well, it just went. the australians and asians, followed by the europeans spent the day resetting their browsers to cycling 74’s site, finding nothing new, and then, finally, sleeping. i’m not sure what time it finally happened but, hey, i was sleeping too. i would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in cycling’s offices the day they were releasing max 5. i imagine that the stress levels there were rising by the minute…
i’ve collected a few google ads that have caught my attention in the last couple of months since signing up to gmail. all come from the sidebar that appears with messages from the max/msp/jitter forum. they might offer some help in times of deep frustration…
two of the gl commands that i’ve found interesting are glloadmatrix and glmultmatrix, and thought that other Jitter beginners might find these patches of some use.
what a difference a pattr makes…
p.storage is a Max/MSP abstraction that accompanies the pattrstorage object. Used together with the bpatcher (p.storage.BP.pat) it provides a simple interface to pattrstorage and enables easy storing, recalling, inserting, replacing, locking and deleting of presets within your patch. p.view is a window for editing the active, priority, interpolation and preset settings in pattrstorage.
p.decimator is a Max/MSP abstraction that loads a sample and splits it into ‘n’ slices and rearranges the slices according to the user’s input. yeah, another recycling object!
